His whopper

So we had a dinner party last night and I can't wait to tell you all about our friend Jason and his incredible food, but because I haven't processed all the pictures yet, I'll share our ice breaker game (as if this group is icy- they are anything but).

I borrowed Absolutely Mindy's "two realsies and a whopper." You tell two truths about yourself and one lie and the group has to guess which is the whopper. Jack did such a good job with his, I thought I'd share. For those of you who have known Jack well, it will be easy, but to new friends it's a real doozie of a choice.

1. He used to be a stockbroker.
2. He played the banjo in an old time gospel bluegrass band when we lived in Kentucky.
3. He worked at a sports radio station when we lived in Atlanta.

Thumbs up!

The video has focus problems and the original performance's dance had many more "moves," but if you stick with it until the very end (it's 57 seconds or so), maybe you'll see why we thought it was so funny.  I have no idea who taught him to accept applause with such hilarious gratitude.

"... when Christ is at the center, when dishes, laundry, work, is my song of thanks to Him, joy rains.  Passionately serving Christ alone makes us the loving servant to all.  When the eyes of the heart focus on God, and the hands on always washing the feet of Jesus alone- the bones, they sing joy, and the work returns to its purest state: eucharisteo.  The work becomes worship, a liturgy of thankfulness.  'The work we do is only our love for Jesus in action,' writes Mother Theresa. 'If we pray the work... if we do it to Jesus, if we do it for Jesus, if we do it with Jesus... that's what makes us content.'"  A. Voskamp
